Meeting at the Belgrade, Serbia and Zero Food Waste Expo
On March 5, 2024, the dedicated members of the ZeeWaste4EU project embarked on a study tpur to the incineration power plant located in Vinča, Serbia. This visit was not merely a tour but an in-depth study excursion aimed at gaining valuable insights into the plant’s operations and its pivotal role in waste management. Following the informative visit to the Vinča plant, the team convened at the Institute of General and Physical Chemistry in Belgrade. This was focusing on a comprehensive overview of the project’s progress, timeline for anticipated results, and updates on the development of the project’s website. The day concluded with a networking dinner at the Belgrade Art Hotel.
On March 6, 2024, the city of Belgrade proudly hosted the FoodWasteExpo at the Belgrade Art Hotel, marking a significant milestone in the journey towards sustainable innovation. The conference served as a vibrant forum for the exchange of ideas, strategies, and action plans dedicated to the reduction of food waste and the promotion of circular economy principles.

ZEROFoodWasteExpo 2024
The ZEROFoodWasteExpo will be held on March 6, 2024, at the Belgrade Art Hotel in Belgrade, Serbia, focusing on innovative solutions for global food waste challenges. It aims to bring together experts, government organizations, and NGOs for discussions, lectures, and workshops. The event offers free registration and is pivotal for those involved in food sustainability.
June 27-28, 2023
Meeting at the University of Tallinn, Estonia
The ERASMUS+ ZeeWaste4EU project meeting took place on June 27-28, 2023 at the Tallinn University of Technology in Estonia. The first day consisted of introductory sessions, partner presentations concerning Generation Z’s engagement in FW application and survey, and project overviews for project results phases, including preparations and deadlines. The agenda also included discussion about the event in Belgrade, progress on the project’s website, and finalizing project management documents. The following day, participants embarked on an insightful study tour to the Aravete biomethane production plant.


February 11-17, 2023
58th Croatian & 18th Internation Symposium on Agriculture, Dubrovnik
Members of the “ZeeWaste4EU” project team participated in the 58th Croatian and 18th International Symposium of Agronomists, where they presented their paper in an oral presentation.

December 6-7, 2022
Meeting at the University of Bucharest, Romania
The ZeeWaste4EU project team held its second face-to-face meeting on 6-7 December 2022 at the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Bucharest, Romania. The partners discussed the project progress, the work package of each PR leader and future tasks.
Discussions also covered Generation Z participation in the FW application, website progress and project documentation. Next steps include project overviews, presentations and further planning.


July 27, 2022
Meeting at the University of Salerno, Italy
The members of the ZeeWaste4EU project team organised another face-to-face meeting, which was also the second project meeting. The meeting took place on 27th and 28th of July at the University of Salerno in Italy.
During the two-day event, on the first day the ZEEWASTE4EU partners were informed about the general progress of the project and each PR leader presented in detail the activities of their work package and future tasks. In addition, the project partners also discussed project tasks, administrative issues and further actions.
The second day of the event was dedicated to meeting with local food producers in the Amalfi region.
The next meeting of the partners is planned for December 2022 in Bucharest, Romania.


December 14, 2021
Kickoff Meeting
A kick off meeting for the project was held on December 14, 2021 in Zagreb at the Timeout Heritage Hotel.
The meeting was opened by the coordinator of the Croatian team. At 9 a.m. the first part of the meeting started where the participants introduced themselves and their institutes.
During the meeting partners discussed the current situation regarding the structure and management of waste, focusingon food waste. Also, parnters discussed the timeframe for project implementation and website design.
At the end of the meeting, partners agreed on the date for the next meeting, and ended the meeting with an informal gathering.
